Holding The Couple: Nurturing your Relationship in the Infant Year
A mini-series for Cincy Postpartum 4th Trimester Circle
Alumnae & Partners
We’ve heard your feedback and
we’ve seen the research:
the parenting little people years are some of the hardest on a relationship.
With the right tools, and community to support you through, the weight can feel a little lighter.
We are thrilled to be partnering with Holistic Therapy to offer a three-part mini series for alumni, focused on nurturing your couplehood.
Your primary facilitators will be Paige Ballengee, Founder and Owner of Holistic Therapy, and CP Circle Alumna and therapist-in-training Claudia Canipe. Your guest facilitator will be social worker-in-training Aaron Canipe (partner to Claudia).

You’ll cover topics like healthy communication, boundaries, emotional & physical intimacy, and more! Babies in arms welcomed. Please leave movers/older kiddos with another caregiver— we know this is a barrier for some.
We weren’t built to parent alone.
Let’s do this together.
FAQs
-
We have no immediate plans to add a virtual option. We hope to repeat in the fall, but will continue to prioritize couples with pre-crawling babies, so grab this opportunity while that applies!
-
We welcome infants/babies in arms, but kiddos on the move should be left home with another caregiver. This is a space focused on nurturing the adults in the room. That said, we know separation from baby may not meet your needs (emotionally or logistically). In our fall 2024 series, about half the couples had baby along, if that is helpful to know.
-
We strongly encourage participant-led meet-ups. This varies by series. To help promote this, we distribute a contact roster in week one, and utilize a private group chat communication platform to allow participants to connect out-of-session.
-
We are aiming for 5-6 couples. If interest exceeds this, we may open a second series from 1:30-3pm on the same dates.

This is hosted at Holos House, the group meeting space/non-profit arm of Holistic Therapy Cinci. The room set-up is yoga-style (seated floor chairs with back rests). Standard chairs are available for those who need them; some couples find themselves shifting between the floor chairs while baby lays on a blanket, and standing/bouncing to accommodate baby.
